How We Put ESG Into Practice, Inside and Out
ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) came to us from two directions: clients who need help with ESG reporting and data, and our own certifications and investor expectations. We quickly realized that we can't credibly help others with sustainability unless we practice it ourselves.
From business opportunity to daily habit
ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance. These are the three areas used to measure how responsibly a company operates. It covers a company's impact on the environment, how it treats its people and community, and how transparently and ethically it is run.
At first, ESG looked mainly like a business opportunity. Our clients needed support with reporting and data, and we had the skills to help. At the same time, the pressure was growing from within, through certifications, standards, and investor expectations. Gradually, it became clear that ESG isn't only something we help others with. It's something we have to live ourselves.
Small decisions that add up
Every day we make small decisions, but they're never random. We sort waste in offices, we collect e-waste because old devices don't belong in a bin, and we compost. We've also built a kitchen that takes waste seriously.
Outside, you'll find a birdhouse by the entrance and an insect hotel in the garden. They're small things, but they add up.
The greenest trip is the one you don't take
We meet online whenever we can. When we do need to travel, we walk, cycle, scoot, or take public transport.
Giving back, in things and in knowledge
We collect for families in need and donate to local animal shelters. Support doesn't have to be complicated. It just has to show up. Our team cares so much about the shelters that some colleagues have even adopted pets from them.
Every December, we wrap gifts for children from the NGO Bublina. Throughout the year, we also go to schools, hackathons, and workshops, because sharing knowledge matters just as much as giving things.
Not by accident
None of this happens by accident. We have a dedicated coordinator; we communicate our activities internally, and ESG shapes how we choose suppliers, run our offices, and make everyday decisions.
We don't do it to check a box. We do it because it's who we are, and every day we try to get a little better.
Where we're heading
In five years, we want people to know that we don't just talk about ESG; we care about it. That goes for our team, our clients, and the public.
We want to be the partner who understands this area and delivers real, complex ESG solutions. That only works if we live it internally too. You can't credibly help others with ESG while ignoring it yourself. The two go hand in hand, and neither lasts without the other.
